refer to some older posts for proof ie (http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1397815)

People with highish end rigs are complaining about getting stable fps at high settings. Yet the console hardware is from 2005, and the PC hardware was "leaps and bounds faster".

This cycle will continue

it was also a really crap port to the PC. GTA IV is the poster child of unoptimized porting, this isn't always indicative of all console ports.

XBONE has 768 gcn cores, PS4 has 1152 gcn cores. no commercial PC Radeon cards has these exact specs, but there is the HD 7870 with 1280 cores as well as the HD 7790 with 896 cores. if both are underclocked a bit, they're roughly the same as their console counterparts.

The One's small CPU core clock advantage also provides nearly the same boost as if they added a entire extra cpu core into the mix. And in all reality the clock speed boost is more beneficial then having a extra core tossed in, for coding reasons, so it's plus plus.

PS4 has faster GPU no doubt, but we have a PC for GPU power.

Each console has their advantages.
