Also does anyone have any ideas about my graphics card idea?
You may see the pricing on the Titans drop a bit when the 290x really hammers it, sales wise, once it's out, but it'll be well into late next year before anything new from the green team.
GPU drivers can be a real pain, I'd wait until I had the card I ultimately wanted to use, before I loaded an OS and drivers.
If you want to get a cheap card to do a kitchen table setup / test, before you install an OS, that would be a good idea. . . .
Actually, it's always a very good idea to make sure your basics, ram-cpu-mobo, all work before adding waterblocks or installing them into a case. . . . .
Knowing the components all worked in the first place saves massive headaches later if there's a problem, because you know it has to be something on your end.
For your setup/test, you'll need a CPU cooler since the i7 E's don't come with one. . . . I'd suggest this one for it's low price and universal mounting, making it useful later on.
As far as a 3 SSD RAID 0, I'm not real impressed there, . . . . you'd never realize the speed increase over 2 drives, (except maybe in benchmarks) where with a RAID 5, you'd have failure tolerance.
