Okay.... Lets go get our budget X2 3800, overclock it, then compare it to a stock highend Core 2 Duo.... Great.

The chip to compare to the X2 3800+ is the E6300. Now I haven't seen a whole lot of X2 3800's overclocking to 3.0Ghz, but I have seen almost every E6300 overclocked to 3.0Ghz. And Core is much faster clock for clock than K8.

Why are you comparing a high-end CPU to a budget CPU? An E6300 can be had for $184 on Newegg; it is more powerful, overclocks better (3.5 GHz on air) and runs cooler. So why not go for the better CPU if you can afford the slight price difference?

I already said I would buy an E4300 over an X2, but it wasnt out when I bought my cpu.

i was thinking of getting one for an intel build, but that will wait untill next summer, as i am out of money.

my point is that conroe = **** performance + OC'ing! but that comes at a price. i havnt seen any OCing mobos under $100.

amd saves about 100-200 $$$ compared to similar Conroe builds. thats a X1900gt, or a case + cooling. or a better stock processor.

nvm, i am off topic SORRY!!!!

That is completely wrong though. You can't very well show the money you will save when comparing a low end AMD (unreasonable overclocked) to a high end Intel chip at stock. That is just shouting out biased. You have to keep it to 1 variable!

A) serious questions about your intelligence or

B) You're being a retarded fanboy.
