So recently I built a PC for my little sister, and all it has been is problems. I bought the ram sticks and mobo off a user on here, bought a used core 2 duo, and used a laptop harddrive i had lying around.

First one ram stick died, got a refund on that. 2 different linux distro's refused to install, one installed but was buggy, and finally i got win8 working. But the computer freezes up in windows explorer all the time, and refuses to download updates even after applying many general fixes.

I stress tested the hardrive with multiple quick tests with a Seagate app, it's looking fully functional. stress testing the rest of the memory atm with memtest, so far so good.

Could it just be a bad motherboard? I bought it used, so I wouldnt be so surprised.

Can anyone confirm for me this is most likey the mobo? or give advice on possible errors?

thanks for any help you can give tongue.gif
