Thread Starter
This is our first water-cooled build and I had another thread going but it was mostly about just cooling the GPU's.. We've decided to cool the CPU too. I've read the updated 2013 guide, etc. But I just wanted to chat and get some more ideas anyways.

We will be powering the rig with a 1200w corsair psu , i7-4930k cpu, 32GBs ram and 2 GTX 780 Classifieds w/ Hydro Copper Watercooler

This is a team build between overclock member "cobz" and me. thumb.gif

So far we have,

Swiftech MCP655-B 12v Water Pump w/ 3/8" Conversion Kit (317 GPH)

Black Ice SR1 Low Air Flow Optimized - 480 Radiator - Black (2 of them)

Now, were looking at either the:

Monsoon Series Two Premium D5 / MCP655 Dual Bay Reservoir w/ Quick Change LED Control - Matte Black w/ Black Trim (probably this one)
Bitspower Dual / Single D5 Top Upgrade Kit 150

This is a team build, cobz likes the look of the Bitspower Dual but were looking for the best performance. What do you guys think?

For the CPU cooler we're looking at the:
EK Supremacy ELITE CPU Liquid Cooling Block - Full Nickel - Socket 2011 w/ Indigo Xtreme Are there any other ones that you guys like?

And then fans, wow there are a ton of choices.. We would need the the ones that would have the best air flow, correct thickness and as quiet as possible and fit perfect with our radiator. We're looking at the:

Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm x 25mm Fan - 1850 RPM.... Good?

Also, do you guys think a fan controller is necessary? I was looking at the Aqua Computer Aquaero 5 XT USB Fan Controller..expandable to 10 fans. But if that's overkill, were not gonna bother. Or can you guys recommend a better controller?

And then we were looking at fittings and hoses.. We're kinda overwhelmed.

What do you guys recommend? We are not gonna skimp on these at all.. So price is not an issue.

We are having a problem figuring out what are the best size fittings and best sized hoses for this rig.. Any recommendations for us? smile.gif Do you guys like compression or barbs?

Thanks again! thumb.gif

We will definitely post pics when this baby is done. So any feedback will certainly be appreciated and shared.. smile.gif
