No, what I do to make my card idle nice and cool is decrease core and memory to their minimum clocks in AB, decrease voltage by 70 and up the fan speed from 20-35% and it stays below 55C at idle.

I'm going to be running two PSU's for 4 cards. Can you guys look at this tell me if you think, if this will work alright.

I will be using Dual PSU adapter from newegg LINK

Corsair HX620 Load
Motherboard 24pin
CPU 6 pin
PCIE power (Sata Connector on Gigabyte boards) ??
All other Drives and and fans

Corsair AX1200 Load
4x 8pin PCIe
4x 6pin PCIe

So basically everything will be running off the HX620 except for the Video card PCIe cables which will all be powered by the AX1200.

The big question is mainly about PCIe power cable to the motherboard supplemental PCIE power. That uses the Sata cable to give the slots more power.
I'm wondering should I use that connector from the AX1200 so its the same as the videocards. Or should I use the sata pcie from the HX620 so it has same power as the rest of the motherboard.

Any word on non-reference 290x? I haven't been able to keep up because of the holidays but I'm about ready to just get a 780ti

I think I'm using latest one 13.11 beta 9.5. However I didn't use previous driver, so I don't know if there is anything wrong with the latest driver.

I went back to 9.4 cause i was getting a few bsods and black and red screen freeze with CF for some bizzare reason blinksmiley.gif

I think I know why my card isn't scoring 17.4k any more...

When I got my highest score (17.4k GPU, 15115 total) I was on the stock cooler at 1200/6500 @ 1.412 in GT.

I'm now running the Gelid, same clocks and voltage but my core is cooler and my VRM's are hotter. I seem to artifact a bit more with the Gelid, getting checkerboard artifacts and eventually screen flashing to black for a frame or two after a short while. This didn't happen on the stock cooler, which leads me to believe it's being caused by higher VRM temps (>85c). These brief blackscreens must somehow lower my score by a bit (~200 points).

Once I get this card under water and the temps under control I'll re-run the test and see what happens.

I have no idea why, at first I thought it might have just been that card, so I swapped them around the bottom one that was idleing 45 is now up top and boom it idles the exact same as the other, 88-90 and the bottom one is 45. I have a Z87 board so there is a gap between the 2 cards so I dont know. My EK blocks cant get here fast enough, apparantly Performance pcs arent open on the weekend so they wont get shipped till moday.
