Have you tried the newest beta in that same thread they posted the first 4.8 beta? I simply installed, slid the bar, hit apply, and no issues.

@ tsm106 I have a nice DMM laying around, red dmm lead to yellow wire and black lead to ground correct? Should i check from a spare 6-pin vga connector?

Pin guide for reference. Yea, red to yellow, black to ground. Test off the 24pin.

- The temp difference is normal. VRM1 will usually be hotter (sometimes significantly more) than VRM2 since the core is more demanding than the memory is.

Really great answer, thanks. I will try to find a solution to get the VRM 1 colder. I already have heatsinks on VRM 1 + 2. Maybe I need bigger and better once.

I am mining @ 690 KH/s because I set the intensity @ 17, so I can work without lags. This card is great for mining. On intensity 20 I get >800 KH/s.

Seems like I've reached the limit for now, I'm currently on the latest drivers WHQL13.12 . Here's my Firestrike Extreme results. It's possible to raise the memory higher but i'm not getting any extra points by doing so, guess I have to switch bios if I want to clock any higher.

Not sure if this have been posted before but disabling frame pacing gives a huge increase in performance.

Hey,
Just wondering, why do I get no mouse lag with a single GPU when Vsync is enabled, but with 2 cards I have enormous input delay?
Thank you.

prerendering: occurs with dual gpu but not single unless selected. Prerenndered frames cause lag.

Also noticed something not so great, I was monitoring my 12v line while watching vrm temps and noticed that 12v line is dropping a lot more than i thought. Normally runs at 11.88v, and is dropping all the way down to 11.50v with the 290 heavily oc'd with cpu @ stock. Is it bad my psu's 12v line is dropping so much, also 11.50 is close to potential damaging levels right?

How did you measure the PSU voltage? Voltmeter or a PSU software? The latter can be untrustworthy at many times.
