See you elsewhere! thumb.gif

Another GTX 780. The third one I've had so far. Nothing wrong with the Hawaii, though. Might return with a nice custom card, if a good deal presents itself.

This has been discussed a few times in this thread, but I've found that memory overclocking does make a difference. Just like it does on every other card I have overclocked in the past two years. It's not as significant as a core clock, but it does make a difference. If I run Valley for example, 1100MHz core with stock 1250MHz memory, my score is a handful of frames lower than it is at say 1100/1500. A handful of frames is nothing to scoff at, and to me, is very significant.

I can take a bunch of screenies and post them if you want, maybe later today.

For that price I'd rather get a 780ti.

Just posted this in another thread, thought it would be interesting to post it here:

Pricing is very weird on Newegg or just very weird in The Netherlands. For example:

Newegg Gigabyte GTX 770 = $ 330 ---> Dutch price € 300

Newegg MSI R9 290 (stock cooler) = $ 550 ---> Dutch price € 360

The difference is huge on the Radeon cards!

Guys.... any good place to buy a gelid icy vision heatsink? There are only a few on ebay...
post #11770 of 43950
Well, 290s are back to $450 on ebay and Newegg has been able to keep stock for more than a day. Hopefully, this means that prices will fall back in line soonish. I can only hope.
