As for the interview youre trying to quote, its prolly a piece from tomshardware interview with anderson back this one was back from end of october and posted in november. There anderson said its too early for performance numbers.
The interview was listed Dec 2nd. Basically there is NO definitive information. Hell once we got in to December they've gone quiet. If we put it to reason then logically it makes sense it would be postponed with everything else considering it's being released with BF4 first and foremost. I know it's by a different team but DICE still has to put it in and test it regardless if it's numbers in config, do they not? I don't see how, even though is an API, you just throw it in and expect it all to work perfectly. With how borked the game is currently why would they roll out mantle when other problems still exist. That would be mantle suicide since everyone will blame the other problems on the API itself regardless of what the root issue is
This is just my reasoning on the matter as you and I both do not have definitive answers on this. They said almost a month ago that it would be late December. They realistically have a few days.
Again I truly hope it does release but only if it's polished.
