Do you guys recommend that I buy a second 290x Card or instead a water cooling system for my first? Have a corsair 850 watt psu.

That is about what my card is doing right now and i have a 290x too. If I put my memory any higher in bf4 ultra at 1440p I get screen tearing bad... It is only 70 degrees though so thought i could take it higher?...This Is On Air btw.

I have two 290x Asus equipped with EK block and i want to over-clock them.
Can anyone point me in the right direction on applications to use to OC them?
I did some OC through the AMD CCC panel and managed(1100/1375) to gain some but i guess there's a lot more smile.gif

I had a very similar issue on an Nvidia card 2 cards back. The screen would black out and the fans go max speed. The sound continued for a little before everything would quit.

I found out that I stopped this from happening by reinserting the auxiliary power cables on the card. I gave the pc away and the new owner couldn't get it running so it was trashed.

I had 3 290x and a Seasonic 1250w...When I overclocked the GPU & CPU and tried to run a benchmark I would get poor results or random shut downs.

IMO you need 1500w if you plan on doing any sort of heavy overvolting to be on the safe side...I had 4.8ghz @ 1.42v, and three 290x with +200mv on each, 3DMark would randomly reboot my PC and the scores never reflected what they should have done.

Most people use MSI Afterburner (it works on all brands) or Sapphire Trixx. Since you have an Asus card you can also use GPU Tweak.
