I don't overclock higher because for one: I only have a 1200 watt power supply, and two: with 3 cards I imagine I would have to be lucky to find 3 that will do 1200/1400. So yes overclocking 3 of them and running at 120hz causes me zero problems.

sorry I don't keep track of everyones posts I just saw your last one where you said you were not overclocking.........excuse me that I don't really care about your rig. Cool that you have no issues though, you are in the minority however.

edit: sry not trying to sound like a jerk just not happy with my own (and other peoples) situation regarding these.

Have you tried each of your cards in the 1st slot configuration? Since you can only hook up video outputs on the first card right? Or did they change that from the 7xxx series? My point is maybe 1-2 of your cards have no issue but the third would.

Since some people claim no issues and others have problems it seems to be hit or miss. Thus leading me to believe it is not driver/qnix related but related to individual 290's

I'll chalk that up to you having a bad day or something. I didn't mean my post as antagonizing, it was meant as clarification, because you quoted my post. I was merely trying to help, as you were asking if people had similar problems. So sorry if I offended you, it wasn't meant that way. Hope you get whatever issues youre having technically worked out.

Geez

I know its not a Qnix, but I tested my friend's catleap with my 290 OC'd and it had no problems running 120Hz. Maybe it's the Qnix at fault here?

Thanks a lot.
Memory scales very well as I increase gpu voltage.
At default voltage 1.25v memory do 1450MHz
At max 1.412v with real ~1.3v cause vdroop memory can do as you see 1625MHz.
Very happy with card. biggrin.gif

i'd imagine with an aftermarket cooler your card will do better.

Installed a Arctic Accelero Hybird and well it sounds like someone is taking a leak inside my system: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9pwdcewdg014e5v/pump2.mp3 The water sounds come and go mad.gif

Has there been any word from Arctic about an actual 290 package? Not enough heatsinks and the VRM heatsinks are way too small to be used while mining for coins.

Are there any manufacturers that actually allow aftermarket coolers?

Anyone tested the new Heatkiller water blocks???? I might get these as no one seems to have the xspc blocks in stock and I want copper. Or if you have seen a good review point me to it please! I can't seem to find much about them on google.
