My core will only get to 1070 with the core upped and ram 1350. With Aux i can get the ram to 1450 havent tried higher yet.

Depends on the ambient. If your ambient is >32C, 60% is not enough, at least 70 - 80% fan speed.

My ambient is around 22c, i won't push volts higher then 100 mV + max....i'm trying to not go over 85c as max on core, and around 75c on the vrm's do you guys think this is possible with 60% fan settings?

Is it to loud @60%? thanks.

Yes, and thank you for replying, HardwareDecoder. It also has a something called a gold power stabilizer kit which is another reason why I want that model. Yeah, but I've never had a water cooling system, so I was wondering if there was a specific kind that was the best to go with. I'm currently looking at some kits at FrozenCPU.com... I'm totally new to liquid cooling, so I was just wondering if anyone had any recommended parts to use, or brands. smile.gif

Overclocked no ur more then likely not going to get that. I have to do 1% for ever 1C for fan speed for anything over 60C, this means 60C is 60% fan speed to keep min under 75C which it dosnt always do depending on the game. Something like BF4 can push me above 80C still with my overclock.

And yes ur fan will be a little loud at 60% fan speed

I don't really understand you frown.gif

Do you mean that for 85c i must use 70% fan?

Not with 1 card. 55-60% keeps me below 80C.

probably more. I thought what i typed was clear but let me try it again

For my video card (s) to stay cool while gaming i have a pre set fan profile with MSI AB. My card (s) will essentially go to 60% fan speed at 60C and for every degree more ( meaning 1C) my fans will go up 1% to help the card keep cool. Now yours might not be as special as a case as mine where i have 3 cards overclocked. But even my bottom card, which gets the most air, still has the same fan profile set and even a game like BF4 will push it to 70C easy for me making my fan speed 70%.

I find this extremely hard to believe when a stock card at 55% has a hard enough time keep its core clock ( which means it hits 95C ) and u have a massive overclock to yours. Ur either running water or a custom cooler to get that. And im talking for the 290x btw

I only need +65MV for this OC and it hits 95C on reviews because it doesn't run at a fixed 55% fanspeed.

@ kdawgmaster Ahhh, you got 3 cards, huh now i can breath more easily lol! i tought i'm doomed thumb.gif

Edit: You can test this easy, disable 2 cards and test with one thumb.gif

@Jack Mac Thanks, what volts does your card have as stock?

Ur MSI fan profile dosnt tell me ur running a stock card cooler tho. What are ur testign it with. Throw it under furmark and see and play a game like crysis 3 maxed 100% or BF4 100% with something like 30 min into it and see what ur temps are then.

Its not just because i have 3 cards. Keep in mind the lowest card ( #3 ) has all the same airflow as if u were to have a single card if u have the proper case. I have a cosmos2 and i have 2 120MM fans on my cards feeding them 95cfm each to help cool the cards.

Card 3 will only run a few degress above normal because of a little heat off of card 2 but its not enough to be noticeable. but none the less i still dont think ull be able to do it because of the amount of power this card needs to run properly.
