Its not just because i have 3 cards. Keep in mind the lowest card ( #3 ) has all the same airflow as if u were to have a single card if u have the proper case. I have a cosmos2 and i have 2 120MM fans on my cards feeding them 95cfm each to help cool the cards.

Card 3 will only run a few degress above normal because of a little heat off of card 2 but its not enough to be noticeable. but none the less i still dont think ull be able to do it because of the amount of power this card needs to run properly.

I'm running the stock cooler, I don't play furmark or Crysis but I did test Crysis 2 and temperatures peaked at 78C. Keep in mind that this is with 22C ambients inside an FT02.

1 card is easy to keep cool at 60-65 % at 100% load in my experience.
3 cards on my mobo, is another story. Card 1 will do it, but #2 and 3 are like sammiches and #2 runs hot. That's with a HAF X. Not the best case for airflow. No sense upgrading the case until i go watercooling later this year. Need a case with lots of room for rads, that wont cost me a thousand bucks.

generally card 2 peaks at 78C with 75% fan speed in my case with #1 considerably cooler at 65 % and 70C and #3 at 75C and 70%. Thats after hours of BF4.

Thanks. So what will be the conclusion, with fans at 60% single card will max out around 80c, even with decent voltage bump + 100mV and long gaming session with intensive games right? what about noise, is it very bad at around 60%?

What are your vrm/ambient temps? Also HAF X is bad case for airflow? what about Storm Trooper?

Haf stand for " High Air Flow " so u dont have a problem there. I personally dont like the Trooper and it dosnt have as good air flow as the Haf anyways.

Is it to loud @60%? thanks.
I can't tell for sure. This is mine at stock clock:-
- 33C ambient
- 80% fan
- BF4
- 90C on GPU1 core

Yeah, but I've never had a water cooling system, so I was wondering if there was a specific kind that was the best to go with. I'm currently looking at some kits at FrozenCPU.com... I'm totally new to liquid cooling, so I was just wondering if anyone had any recommended parts to use, or brands. smile.gif
If you're getting Powercolor LCS, you'll only need these to complete the loop:-
- pump (best pump are DDC & D5)
- reservoir (bay reservoir, tube reservoir, etc)
- tube (best soft tube so far is Primochill Primoflex Advanced LRT)
- barbs or compression fittings (two for each block/radiator/reservoir)

You can get all the above in one complete kit, e.g. XSPC or EK. For example:-

XSPC:-
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/16070/ex-wat-210/XSPC_Raystorm_EX240_Universal_CPU_Water_Cooling_Kit_w_D5_Variant_Pump_Included_and_Free_Dead-Water.html?tl=g59c683s2174

EK:-
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/18964/ex-wat-249/EK_L240_Complete_Dual_120mm_Liquid_Cooling_Kit_EK-KIT_L240.html?tl=g57c607s1948

OR

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/15069/ex-wat-201/Ek_H30_240_HFX_Advanced_Liquid_Cooling_Kit_-_CSQ_EK-KIT_H3O_240_HFX.html?tl=g57c607s1948

The XSPC kit come with cheap tube. I recommend replacing it with Primochill Primoflex Advanced LRT tube. All kits come with CPU water block. You can add CPU in the loop later without getting any additional parts, except two more barbs or compression fittings.

The kits above come with 240mm radiator. It's enough for cooling GPU.

The EK kits come with EK-DCP 2.2 or EK-DCP 4.0 pump. They're not DDC pump but Jingway rebranded pump. They should do well though.

Thanks for your help, he said that HAF X is not good for airflow, and i was a bit confused : /

I should clarify that I have a rad at the top and it pretty much negates the "HAF" part of the HAF lol, so airflow sucks in my situation with the case..more than likely because I have no idea what I do when i build these things I just put it together and hope for the best. biggrin.gif

The Haf x will have better air flow then the Trooper case will. Although i dont recommend either. What is it that ur looking for in case?

I agree, I didnt do any research when I bought mine. I definitely would have put more money and time in a case if I had to do it again. for half the price of the cosmos 2 it aint bad though. Just no room forenough rads to watercool decently.. whats your opinion on Corsair Obsidian Series 900D
