Im looking at swaping my cosmos 2 with a Corsair air 540 and get 3 kraken G10's with water coolers. Thats when i can get the Kraken G10 for less then 100 bucks because of shipping

If you plan on cooling both an overclocked 3930K and a 290, you might want to think about getting more than a 240mm radiator if your case will allow it.

Is the stock 290(x) at >60% fan speed loud? Have you ever operated a gas powered chainsaw? If you consider that noise mild then you shouldn't be bothered biggrin.gif

Water blocks FTW

The fact that it came with an aftermarket cooler already installed was one of the main reasons I decided to get this model. I had planned on changing out the cooler had I bought a stock card, but after reading some of the (mostly negative installation) reviews AND the fact that all of the "good" coolers were sold out everywhere I looked, I decided on this card. It was the most expensive at $699, but overall, I went with what I wanted :-) and now I have bragging rights LOL. I have to admit though that the Windforce cooler on this one seems a little flimsy. One of the fans was rubbing up against something and I had to figure out a way to stop it, so I jerry-rigged a temporary fix until I can either figure out a better solution. I should include a picture of my handywork, maybe later on today.

Hopefully I can do some gaming on it today and see if it can handle Bioshock Infinite better than my old 1GB AMD Radeon HD 7700 series. I also plan on trying out Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light, both of which I got just yesterday in the Steam sale going on.

Same here for my Gigabyte Windforce 290x yesterday. I posted my scores a few pages back. Cool quiet and heavy. Will only OC my star to 110. My 7970 kHz did 120.
