Yeah, my R2 setup looks nowhere near as good as yours but then again it is fully functional so I don't really care biggrin.gif it's a great case for the $50 I paid for it.

question: do you know what that vertical pci slot looking thing is for ?

That and there are little PCI slot fan controllers and stuff like that. In fact I think my Arc Mini or my original Arc Midi (maybe both) came with one. That was before the R2's with the fan controller on top of the case.

I can't remember when I bought this R2, but it was around $50-$60 on Newegg, some sort of sale or special. But yeah, my last three cases I have used, Midi, Mini, Midi R2. So I think its safe to say I like Fractals. I think they are very stylish but not overwhelming. They seem to be the perfect size for me. Not hating, but I'm not really into those giant 3ft-4ft tall cases with room for like 37 radiators and 10 power supplies. But then again, I've never set out to build a PC that would need all that space.

Wow, R9 290's are $580 now? That makes me sad, it was perfectly priced when it was $400. I wouldn't pay much more than that for a 290. Although I guess technically I put a $100 waterblock on my card. So I paid $500.

By the way, I am more stable and got a little higher clocks after putting the waterblock on it. Probably because I can run +100mV no problem without getting hot now. Before if I ran +100mV my VRMs would get in the 90C's and core around 85C.

I wish I could overclock to my cards full potential, but something funny is going on with these and qnix monitors for alot of people, not everyone but alot of us. Yeah fractal is really nice! My next build is going to be totally insane though in about two years and I'm gonna probably need one of those giant case labs cases then.

Realistically, would a 360 and a 240 rad cool 3 of these and a processor?

I think you'd really want more rad then that for 3 of these beasts and a processor. I'd think 480+360 would be sufficient. Or any combo of 240's and 360's equalling around 700-800mm

Might be time for a case upgrade then. I upgraded my self cause I couldn't fit more than one 240mm rad in my nzxt tempest 210 and had to top mount my first 240mm rad since the hdd rack wasn't removable.

Your rig is already nuts it would be really cool to see you water cool it. Would silence those 3 jet engines you got too.

Gonna be pretty expensive though. You are going to need a bunch of rads, 3 water blocks, a d5 pump a res tubing, a ton of fittings a cpu block.

If I were you i'd get this: you still need whatever bridges connect between the cards also... I wasn't sure what the right ones were....

but damn that is going to be alot of money to cool your whole system. I just felt like scheming it all out since I was bored biggrin.gif

frozencpu has an ocn discount code I think it is ocn55

It depends on where you look, ShopBLT seems to have most models at ~$20 above MSRP but most are on backorder :

The XFX R9-290A-ENFC are expected to be in stock on 1/5 but most other models are no expected to be available before 1/10

No one knows for sure, but as long as you don't exceed the +100mV from Afterburner I think you'd be fine. So something around 1.3V under load (after Vdroop).
