how is the micro stutter on that setup? I just got in to water cooling my self but i'm already totally addicted and already wish I could afford to replace my xspc 750 pump with a better one since I think it is holding me back from even better temps, I wish I had bought a kit with a D5 in it but oh well it works for now. I don't want to take my whole loop apart though and my wife is going to literally murder me if I buy any more wc parts.

anyway /end rant nice setup you got man.

As I was typing this I realized I won't have to take much apart just to replace my pump with a D5.......

*starts scheming on how to afford one*

Thank you smile.gif

It's been a costly setup, but I love it and don't regret it. I'm an addicted hardware enthusiast haha.

Dude I'm just using an external D5, they're not too expensive and it shouldn't be bad adding that to the loop so you can go more extreme biggrin.gif

No micro stutter! I've had 4x7970's and hated it so went down to 3x7970's and had some pretty good success but this just absolutely blows it away which is why I'm thinking of adding a 4th now thumb.gif

what i'm unsure of is do I need to buy this:

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/16144/ex-res-372/XSPC_Dual_525_Bay_Black_Reservoir_-_w_D5_Variant_Pump_Installed.html

or just the pump?

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/19457/ex-pmp-234/XSPC_D5_Vario_Pump_Motor_w_Mount_Ring_-_Single_Edition.html

I don't have a stand alone res right now, just the xspc x2o 750 pump/res combo. I'm wondering if I can just use the 750 as a res or what.

Do you have pics of your setup I could look at?

I had 2x 7950's and got really tired of xfire i'm gonna stick to one card for awhile + I can't afford another card biggrin.gif

One card is plenty biggrin.gif I'm actually planning to post a nice rig thread once the blocks are in, I'll at least be opening the case up this weekend and starting prep work. I'll snap some shots of how it's all combined in there hahahaha thumb.gif

Oh and I'm not sure about your res/ combo situation. I almost went that route but decided to do my own res/ d5 setup. I have a tube res that basically mounts right my external d5.

I see. I think I really don't need to change it right now anyway. I just see people with like 42-45c load temps on the 290/x with + voltage and mine gets to like 50c in BF4 with no + voltage. So i'm running a bit hotter and I think it is my pump not being that powerful to go through CPU Block 2 rads and a gpu block. I should probably just be happy that everything works for now and just upgrade my pump whenever I do a new build.

Did you order the water block from FrozenCPU or PPC?
