I have the feeling my chip is crazy...i can overclock it with stock voltage up to 1075 MHz ...than with + 25 mV i can go up to stable 1110 MHz ...but then ....+ 50 mV for 1125 MHz and +100mhz for 1150 MHz ...thats a huge bump i think ...is this normal?

That's very normal.. to hit 1200 Mhz you'll likely need +150 and for 1240-50 around +200.

Yeah, there's always a point of diminishing returns.

OK then i See my 24/7 sweet spot @ 1110 MHz you think the same? (1450mhz mem) (downclocking mem dont give me better Core OC)
Guys, Tri x oc is ~ 70c max on vrm's with 1.3v @1150/1450 thumb.gif

Is 1125mhz with normal voltage really good? I have power limit set to -1% and i'm thinking of just leaving that at 0%
post #13027 of 43923
Hmm, you got 290/290X? i would use +20% power limit to make sure you are not throttling, its good result yes.

It's a 290. I guess I can try 20% for just benchmarking but I rather stay on the cooler side for normal usage.

Im finding with PT3 bios aka no vdroop I can get 1200 with no voltage change... 1225 is +100 and 1250 is impossible,? lol major diminishing returns. might be psu though.

lol -1%? what point would that have?

whether or not its really good depends on what your cards stock voltage is. but its still good, yeah

I normally have it set to -5% or -6% but for benchmark I put it to 1%.
