Throw on a game like Battlefield 4 and try to play for 30minutes, if it can last through battlefield chances are it will get through 90% of any stress test

You want OC or no OC? My card is currently at 1000, 1320

Okay, so I didn't run a benchmark or anything to record the FPS with, but instead used the built-in FPS counter.

So after about 15 minutes at the settings you asked for, at 90FOV, and my card at 1000/1320, I averaged around 50-55 FPS. I was above 60 FPS when there was little happening on screen, and near 40 during intense firefights and explosions.

On the topic of power consumption. I have a 290 and a 3570K. The 290 is running 1150/1550 and 3570K @ 4.7GHz. For kicks I ran Prime95 and Valley at the same time. I was pulling 470w from the wall as monitored by a Kill-a-Watt. While my CPU consumption is lower than some of you AMD CPU users, and I am using the ASUS BIOS (not PT1 or PT3), I believe my Seasonic X650 is totally up to the task. I fold both CPU and GPU 24/7. That pulls ~370w from the wall. 700w seems like a lot for one 290(x).

So its playable, did you use post AA at low, as well MSAA + resolution scale? was it smooth? thanks, rep +

Yeah, I'm mining with a 290 and a 620watt PSU. No problems. Even if I overclock the GPU, still no problems.
