[Official] AMD R9 290X / 290 Owners Club - Page 1333

valley, heaven and stuff like that do not use much vram, no matter for how long u keep it running. i kept 3dmark firestrike first sequence looped at extreme settings plus heaven and gaming to find my max core but benches are all useless for vram testing. i am usually keeping it at 1350mhz or even stock 1250mhz because of that issue. for example playing ghosts with everything maxed out uses up to 3,5gb of vram and bf4 with 200% scaling uses 3,3gb.
for the core i can reach 1240mhz with +200mv and that is ok to me. i was just wondering if all that 1500+ mhz are stable with high vram use of over 3gb...

So for all you people who installed blocks on your R9 290s. How many of you found warranty stickers in the way?

Which vendors are your cards coming from?

And you overclockers, how much of a difference are you getting? I'm going to be setting a CF between a VIsionTek R9 290 and a XFX R9 290 both with EK blocks, (No backplates), wondering if I should bother overclocking.

Mined at 1000/1500 for 3 days before my first black screen. Now my hashrate is ~6Kh/s on stock or overclocked (I'm guessing HW errors are bogging it down)

I just loaded up Bioshock Infinite and the coil buzzing is unbearable on both cards! How can I reduce the buzz?

Personally, I don't have this, but I heard it goes down over time.
