So is there any BIOS utility to set up own BIOS by modding the original one? is that AB clocks locked in vy program or is that by BIOS settings?
So how to reach for example 1300Mhz core and 1800 RAM? Will I need modded BIOS or some commands for AB?
Im still stable at 1625 Mjz RAM and want to try more ...
thanks for advice
I found this for voltage unlocking so is there something like this for unlocking clocks?

Thats directly from MSI AB log.

So due to the architecture, MSI can only show an estimate GPU usage, thus causing the bumps? So there is actually nothing wrong with my usage? Or have I misunderstood?
Thank you.

Please share your experiences or thoughts.

Let's say I buy 10 of these for mining. Expensive card, definitely not the card to run "COOL" under load. I would assume overheating damage or blown vrms or any thing like that is a user error correct? So what does the warranty from manufacturer leave with? Random errors on the card?

I see some videos where people have an insane amount of these cards with a fan blowing over them and I know a card like this running 70-80C GPU(imagine those vrms!!!!) its not the best thing.

Really curious on the experiences you have had with some manufacturers and warranty of their product. I know it is much easier to deny an RMA, but what is really left that is not "user error"

With pci-e risers and decent spacing between the cards you won't overheat. Reference cooler is great for multiple cards and don't worry about the vrms, usually they run cooler than the core itself. 70-80c for r9 290(x) is cool.

Made me wonder what companies are easier to deal with than others. Physical damage is one thing, I know some companies might claim that it's user error to run a card for 5days 24/7 and that it caused damage to the card.

this is other thread I posted in. Just trying to get some thoughts out and have people share stories about past experiences with companies and what not. I get worried when not buying from newegg or a site like that and picking up a "new" card from ebay or amazon that these manufacturers treat the customer different.

Does removing the shroud improve performance?

Speaking of shrouds, is it possible to put a reference 7970 or 6970 shroud on this card? I prefer the looks of those shrouds over the 290 shroud.

Just make sure you dont have a meh manufacturer.
Last thing you want is a warranty denied because you "physically altered" the card rolleyes.gif

I just bought Battlefield 4 and tried to play a match. Than I got a whitescreen in the battlefield 4 window. Anyone knowing what the problem is? I suspect it are the drivers, so which one is confirmed stable? I am using the latest beta driver btw. Also I just tried starting up tomb raider, but all I got was a black screen. Battlefield 3 works fine though.

I would think so... They are almost identical. Try it!
