Although I wouldn't recommend doing that.

My mb supprts tmp sensor leads, 3 of them to be exact. If you have a RIVE or RIVB board you can add a sensor to your memory in the case you really really wanted to know.

Yes you are right. Thats the reason why AB uses offset for Hawai against other GPU.
So here are my latest results, still on air alias hairdryer cooling biggrin.gif

Offset is used because the VRM CONTROLLER IS PWM.

When I play a game its typically showing around 1.189 - 1.2.

Anyone else notice this? Also, what do use to test for artifacts besides just games?

That's vdroop. Combuster is putting a much higher load on the GPU so it drops the voltage to keep thermals and stress in check. This is the EXACT SAME THING CPU's do when you stress them with linpack or Prime95. It's by design, although its more to stop voltage "overshoots" (when load changes).

If there was no vdroop or if you remove vdroop by using the command line in msi afterburner (check the guru3d forms for the command), it will make your card run MUCH, MUCH hotter. ONLY advisable on subzero.

Forceman previously indicated that one should tighten by hand the compression fittings over the hoses.

Yesterday, while I was connecting the hoses to the compression fittings to get that perfect seal, I could not manage enough hand torque to tighten all the way.

My question then becomes is it ok to not have a perfect seal between the compression fittings when securing the hoses?

ahh ok...so the offset it just an increase to what the graphic card fw/bios decides it's optimal?

I've read some of that beyond3d forum thread that you linked to previously and seems it's more complicated than I thought ;o]

I'm still up in the air about that though...The H320 is $169CDN, for $100 more i can get a proper XSPC 360rad Raystorm kit. But i know id end up getting rigid tubing which adds to cost tongue.gif

barbs/fittings, and probably more coolant if youre going to add a GPU to the loop.

It would be pushing it, which is why I got a custom kit. But I've seen a H220 cool a CPU, two 7950 blocks, and vrm and 2 extra radiators in addition to the stock rad. Max temps were ~60. It's somewhere on LinusTipTech forums, but I can't find it.

The H220 and H320 are the same pumps. You will have to add extra radiators for the GPUS.

Now I paid close to 600$ for my kit. My temps barely pass over 40 on full load, overclocked.
