Ive used hours of testing and wanted to make my own thread, but i was afraid of haters so i decided to post here.

I belive i got a good overclocker to be honest.
My card seem to deliver!

So i did a series of test and noted all the results.
I want to share the results here and wish for feedback.

And i have a few questions aswell:

Whats considered a safe Over Voltage for the R9 290 non-x?
I was doing some search online and found people that said running 1.2v core could set your card at great risk.
If i just knew what the risk are for these cards i would know how far im willing to go with the voltage.
I myself have considered that anything under 1.2v is fine for me. It doesnt make me feel bad at all.
But if going up to 1.3v wouldnt be too bad, id defo push my card further.

im using my card for gaming, and thats why i am overclocking.

My goal is to find a great overclock and stability getting none artifacts and good temps.

If anyone could answer my Voltage question id be glad.
Anyone know if Amd have any rated max voltages for the card?

Anyway, so here is my testing:

Yea, mine are about the same. i bet he's throttling due to temps or power limit and not knowing it.

Just realized my mem was clocked higher- so probably explains the small difference in graphic rating. (1350mhz)

Hi chaps. Please forgive if this question has already been answered in this rather verbose thread.

I'm building up a box with an Asus Maximus Extreme VI and 3x ATI R9 290 video cards. I'm dismayed to note I can't fit these video cards in slots A2, B2, or 3, because the 10 SATA connectors at the far edge of the board, which are stacked 2 high, interfere with the video card. I can put the video cards in slots 1 and 4 only, which is where I presently have them, but this does not allow for CrossfireX configuration. I've ordered some 15cm PCI riser cables for greater flexibility, but am wondering if there's a simpler trick. What is standard practice in this case? Does anyone else have this problem? If so, what did you do to work around it?

That is absolutely normal and they do not interfere with any expansion card.
You can use the risers to give the cards more breathing room though wink.gif

You are almost the same as he is. Look at mine 12930 on previous page biggrin.gif
But the drivers are very bad, if I OC it much, Im getting every start of PC black screen. So I have to uninstal (by ATIman) drivers and install again.
AMD again gain its title as Almost Made Drivers.
So I hope in few weeks come out better drivers and better update for AB. Because the GPU at clocks near 1200 Mhz realy needs more thans 100mV +
