I live in Australia with no air-con, thats why the temps are high. and the cards are idling at 41c and 37c.

There is no side fan but i have taken the sides off my case to let them breathe a bit better. I don't normally run overclocked settings in summer for this reason but with new cards......i gotta try them out tongue.gif

Just ran a Firestrike and FSE at stock settings with them.

FS: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/2191525

FSE: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/2191757

Sidenote, i'm drawing a max of 895w during the FSE Combined test for those that are interested.

Both cards do not unlock and they both have Elphida ram so thats confirmed, the top card is on average 10c hotter than the bottom one and thats with 30c ambients......
Congrats & enjoy your cards! thumb.gif

Mine was around ~10C difference too, with the first card can run at 80s Celsius & the second card run at 70s Celsius. Then I swapped the cards (second card to first slot, first card to second slot) & now both running at 80s Celsius (a couple of degrees difference between them). Other than swapping the cards, I did re-install driver though. Anyway, usually the first card will always running hotter than the second card.

i saw another italian guy having the same problem. You can try to apply 2 pieces of thermal pad ( 2mm) for better contact. He solved the problem in this way.

Oooooh had you down for 'stock' reference cooling, almost forgot - I've got you now listed as 'DD Black' for 'cooling' - updated biggrin.gif

Again, congrats your the first on the list with XFX DD Black edition cooling. smile.gif
