When I know how it works before and could handle 1200 core and 1700 RAM on AB 17 so, it after installing that 18version it does not work either, included reinstall back to AB 17. I only want to know how to change it. I don want to hear reflash BIOS to ASUS, and try GPU tweak which is not able to manage 1700 on RAMstable. I have many combinations tried but the Saphire orig. bios with AB 17 was working well for my system. But now is anything corrupted and Im not able to raise clocks...
If anyone of you was able to reach on R9-290 higher clocks than 1200 core and 1700 ram so let me know please how did you do it. Because I cant do it now. and next problem is, that AB cant manage to change power limit so I have to install CCC and change it in there. That sucks.

If you cant do 1700 on gpu tweak then you cant do it on msi. Or its barely stable. There is nothing different on msi how it communicate with the gpu compared to gpu tweak. Your only reason that you cant do it is:
1) driver version
2) temps between these runs.

Just use /wi4,30,8d,10 for 100mv. The offset is 6.25 mv in hexademical. So on decimal is :16*6.25=100 mv. For 50mv you need 8. For 200mv you need 20( 20=32 on dec. So 32 * 6.25=200mv)

The easy way to do changes:

Create a txt on desktop. Write
CD C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI Afterburner
MSIAfterburner.exe /wi4,30,8d,10

and then save as .bat file. Eveyrtime you start this bat file msi will start with +100mv
Yes everyone know this. But how to reach higher clocks? because its limited to 1235/1625Mhz

1235/1625 is a VERY good overclock. If you cant get higher by throwing more voltage at it then youve reached the limit of your GPU.

You can try PT1 bios if you havent already, or PT3 but thats not recommended unless youre going LN2.

Maybe in your theory, but my practical experiences are theese, AB 17 was able to manage 1200 Core 1700 Mem with power +30, Vcore +156
AB 18 max 1180 Core, 1625 RAM because of locked limits. And since 18 im not bale to breake the limits in program AB if you can understand.
Now I tried http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/148706/asus-r9290-4096-131016.html ASUS BIOS on my Saphire card
And GPU tweak shut down after 1675 Mhz on mems.
I know sure that I could set 1725 on mem without problems, but I decrease it for better stability on AB 17.
So I dont know shere the problem is, that is not possible to reach again with reinstalled AB.... frown.gif and Im realy sad of it mad.gif

No they are not. I can swear I wase able to be stable at 1700+ Mem maybe here are some pictures from me in this forum ;-)

Im sorry to all that im little bit rude and angry but Im playing with theese settings all day and cant find my previous combination of programs, hacks and luck when it worked ;-) tongue.gif

AB 17 because it used the ADL files from amd used to throttle the performance. The communication between gpu and msi ab was too slow so the performance was lower. Thats why maybe you could do it. Now beta 18 use a lower interface to communicate with the 290 so no more throttling on performance.

Switch me back to air please. My H220 gave out, and I've lost the point of full water cooling. Throwing my EK block and AlphaCool rad on eBay and moving back to GPU on air.
