So, i tot it might be mobo limitness and hoping to see if anyone is in the same boat as me.

Just got my Sapphire 290X last night. I'm stoked.

Had problems overclocking it last night though. Kept flickering if I opened Afterburner. I was thinking the program was messed up so I uninstalled it. Installed Trixx but didn't try it because I was too tired.

Now checking the OP's post and I see something about setting powertune in CCC if messing with AB. Ugh... why didn't I see that last night?

EDIT: Now I'm confused. I did not have Overdrive enabled but I was having the flickering problems whenever I opened AB.

Start GPU-Z in admin mode, I usually solve this problem closing GPU-Z and then starting it again :\

Tri-x would have been a perfect match for my orange themed pc too. mad.gif

Sell one, get a Tri-x... sell the other get a seccond one.... dirty simple.
