Do you use classic electrical tape? Ii it not going to liquefy with the temperature of the core?

yes, i used the ordinary electrical tape. not sure about if it liquefies but i know it works great. i may have to put some on my cpus 'cause it is really very easy to apply. i used the brush that came with the kit.

Quick question. I'm about to buy an X-star 1440p monitor. which dvi cable will I need in order to connect my 290 to the monitor? Are the appropriate cables included in the shipment as well?

I take those figures back. VRM1 temp does get higher than VRM2 at load. Here was about an hour of BF4 . . .

This is with just one 120 rad and fan. Ambient is pretty low and I'd imagine temps in summer will go up by about 5 -7C. might be more.

I don't get it, my VRM1 is always cooler than my VRM2.

It comes with one. Although if you have a spare power cable it's a plus to use in the power brick. The one they send you has an international adapter

Comes with everything you need. Just be aware a few of us with those monitors have issues overclocking the 290/X. For some reason when you up the voltage above a certain point it will corrupt the display. If I reconnect my asus 120hz monitor and run it at 60hz I can up the voltage +200 no problem and OC to 1270. With the asus at 120hz i get similar display corruption as the qnix. With my qnix connected I can only up the voltage +140 and a max of 1220 on the core before it starts to corrupt the display. This leads me to believe the cable is at fault. I just ordered a top of the line 3' Gafen cable to see if that solves the issue.

May I join the club?

Brand - ASUS
Cooling - Air

Looks like I got Hynix memory, I think this is a new batch of cards because I had to wait 3 weeks to pickup the card from NCIX. I got the card for $449.99 and it came with Battlefield 4.
