I just finished installing my AP-30s (4250rpm) on my MK-26 290x. MAN!! I've been running a couple valley loops, 54c max and 41c max vrm1 and 32c vrm2!! stock speed, just testing. The card has less vdroop when kept cool too that's great! Those vrms are like watercooling lol So happy. biggrin.gif Only downside is that the fan run at full speed all the speed because I have it to a molex... molex to 3 pin, does that exists? But even so I'm not sure my fan controller could handle it, this fan requires 1.36A to start, so around 20w. Got some pics coming too.

Question, maybe somebody experience like TSM can answer.

What is the max voltage I should run while benching? I'm currently at 1260/1625 with +220mV, this gives me 1.31v actual. I'm artifacting like crazy so I need a bit more, and I think I should be good up to 1.35v but somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.

Temps are below 40 core and 30 VRMs if I have my rad fans on.

Fun fact, according to GPUz my 290 is taking 331w, and my entire PC is using 525w at the plug...

the 290 PRO and 290X use the same waterblock.

+220mV as in +220 offset? i used trixx and applied +200 offset for benching and gpuz showed 1.42v at load.

Yes, I tried +231 mV but still artifacting.

Each card has different voltage after droop depending on ASIC, my card has great ASIC for wc'ing and it really benefits from a block... I went from 1200MHz max OC to 1260, before while on air I couldn't hold 1200 for more than a minute due to temps but now I don't have a problem.

At stock clocks my VDDC is about 1.14v actual.

if it is only showing 1.31v and you are in water, then you can go higher. i'd say 1.4v max and make sure you monitor the core and the vrm temps even in water.

you flashed your cards?

Sweet. My card is currently on an MSI 290x BIOS (thought it would help when I was having issues with AB, I'm too lazy to flash it back) but does not unlock to a 290x. I always keep an eye on temps, don't worry lol.

My card whines like a 15 year old girl when I bench... These scores are amazing though. 15.6k so far for 3dmark11.

i see artifacts for anything higher than 1300 on the core. i am using original bios. i use Trixx which only gives +200. heaven and valley are more demanding from my experience benching.

Nice, I don't currently have Valley and I'm too lazy to update Heaven..

Too bad I didn't get a better card, my clocks are pretty good but with these temps if I got a bit luckier I could break 1300MHz. Oh well, I could have ended up with a dud OCer that can't break 1200.

Edit: +250mV causes my PC to instantly restart...
