I use Trixx personally. Disable the apply on boot setting, but let Trixx load with Windows. If you need to overclock it's not hard to enable a saved profile. Make sure you disable ULPS and force constant voltage, these will help with stability and to keep frame rates consistent.
Get rid of those 14.X drivers, they hav been nothing but problems. Make sure your scrub with DDU. http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/display_driver_uninstaller_download.html
You don't NEED
Mantle to play BF4 with one of these cards.
Disable AMD Overdrive.
Sorry for the confusion, I mean I tried with either MSI AB or TriXX but both seems to fail.
And yeah, I kinda need Mantle for BF4. On the settings I play DirectX just cannot deliver the performance to run smoothly in the roughest combat. Mantle can.
I am a GFX whore and even though I like my FPS high (at least 60+ as MINIMUM FPS. Not average) I also like my gfx maxed out.
This means 150% resolution scale at least which is 2880x1620 rendering res.
When I run DX11 it will drop to mid 40's in heavy fighting. Using Mantle it will not ever drop below 55 no matter how hard the fighting is.
Averages also go from 71 in DX11 to 84 on Mantle and FPS is MUCH more stable.
Plus, 14.1 was horrible, I admit. Lot's of crashes and problems.
But, 14.2 has served me so well that ever since I installed it i haven't had a single crash in any game.
Not in BF4 @ Mantle, not in MW2/3 on DX, Not in Bioshock Infinite, not on any random MMO...
I guess i'll have to live with clicking MSI AB's profile and clicking Apply again after every cold boot. Or just use sleep mode
