Short story long... AT NO POINT a 4670K will be a bottleneck, even at 1600p. EVER!! It's on par with 3960x, 4770k. Or within 1-3%. There are a handful of synthetic benchmarks that are designed to take advantage of hyper-threading(3dmark11, etc.) - these are NOT real world scenarios. Also, a couple real time strategy games, which Mantle is designed to address.

Load times, come down to storage, platform, graphics drivers. I'm on a samsung 840 Evo with a 4670K and every single game(BF3, BF4, everything!) load ultra fast. No delays at all, sata3 channel is satured to the max - you can test this with resource manager and look at disk I/0.

Conflicting opinions. Im guessing in time to come with optimisation etc bf4 will smoothern out. I must say as well the amd driver issue/rebate is a huge factor. Best performance so far is 13.12 xfire on dx. Semi constant 100fps @ 1440p ultra. And I imagine mantle will play a big part In this as it matures

That's only true if the resolution is purely the only bottleneck, and not the 3D application causing the issue. 9/10 it is the applications fault, therefore upping the resolution does nothing to restoring balance, it just potentially gives you more pixels for your buck since the GPU's are hanging back a little.

I posted this review not too long ago but I don't believe the games tested don't utilize the CPU like BF4 does.  It's hard to compare to BF4 since there isn't much out there that uses CPU and RAM as heavily as BF4.

Murdered? Roboyto was kind enough to post the link. Anandtech are pretty much the best in the business, please have a read.

Please don't spread misinformation. Proof just below - no 4670k but a 3570k is the 'equivalent' there.

http://www.techspot.com/review/734-battlefield-4-benchmarks/page6.html

Now, one might say 'But it's not multiplayer!!' The chips in the review are at stock, a 4670K at 4.5 is hardly a bottleneck.

Thats not true. I haven't dipped under 90fps yet. Meh i take it back somewhat because i haven't played the multiplayer yet. But the campaign plays without any issue.

I mean by more pixels means you use the gpus more to their max, these cards are intended for 1440p and higher, and/or eyefinity.

GPU usage doesn't work correctly with Hawaii. It'll continuously bounce from 0% to 100% no matter how much of a load you're putting on it. According to Unwinder it's something that AMD will have to fix within their drivers.

That's incorrect statement, new versions of AB won't fix it, GPU usage is reported as it is calculated by AMD driver and it is not anyhow calculated internally in AB. So it is not a case of unknown GPU, it is as correct as AMD driver team implemented it. Currently GPU usage sensor implementation inside AMD driver is broken and it may return unreliable data if other sensors were polled immediately before GPU usage. So the amount of wrong data can be minimized by adding artificial delays between polling the sensors, it may be minimized by putting GPU load sensors to the first positions in the list, but the only true fix can be expected from AMD drivers update.
Silverforce11's answer is most likely the correct one. If the load drops any the GPU clock will drop accordingly as Hawaii clocks down rather than waste cycles.

I get full CPU usage but my clocks are never constant. My GPU temperature also plateaus at 94C and then the clocks start dropping. This scares me.

Using AB to monitor, my clocks stay constant at whatever frequency I set, the load is variable and keeps fluctuating along with the voltage.
