I don't have much choice here. The only alternative is applying 1Mbps connection. That should solved the problem.

You should see me trying to aim with the games lags pretty bad. tongue.gif I don't know whether I can record a video though.

Thanks. After much reading I understand a little more, however unfortunately i just have more questions.

I'm really starting to thing I would have been better off with reference cards than these MSI r9 290x gamer cards if not for that reason alone.

Anyway, to combat the temps on the top cards I used a dremel to install a 200mm fan over the topmost card. Not throttling under heavy gaming load such as 3dmark Firestrike anymore.

Still, For mining I have been setting my GPU clocks lower to keep the temps down into the 80c - 88c range because I feel 94c is just too hot.

I already had to return a Gigabyte Windforce r9 290x that died after about 5 hours of ownership, and I'm not entirely sure I did not kill the board by overheating it while mining, but I was not overclocking. I just don't want these boards to have a similar fate.

I have successfully booted into MS DOS and dumped my flash ROM.

Would it be possible to load reference card ROM on these MSI boards to enable the Target Temp setting in CCC?

The next frustrating thing about CCC is that overclock settings are not available for the 2nd card unless you enable crossfireX or plug another monitor into the 2nd card. Any way around that?

Thanks.

Yes 1125 on stock voltage is very good. Make sure it isn't throttling though, with only 20% power.
Thanks Forceman, it doesn't seem to throttle, but 1125 is its limit on stock, and the memory does not like to go above 1320 on stock, probably due to being elipda. My vrm is a little high at 80 for one in furmark. For some reason msi Kombuster causes vrm1 to go to 120 degrees according to gpu-z while 2 stays at 59-60. Is that a little to large of a gap, or is it just me?

I want 120Hz monitor too but yeah, they're too expensive. redface.gif
Too little VDDC. It's end of the line if it's still artifacting even when you already push a lot of volt.

Are they now? http://www.ebay.com/itm/330932578190?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

$279? Can that be any good? Not because it is korean pls because I own a catleap myself and paid almost $500 for it 2 or 3 years ago... It just seems too cheap for an led pls panel. Whats the catch?

VRM1 is always hotter (since it's the core voltage) but 120C is very hot, probably too hot. Furmark isn't really a good test to use, see what it does in Heaven or Valley instead, but I would think about ramping up the fan speed if the VRMs get that hot. I'd try to keep them around 80C.

Most of the user reports are positive over in the owners thread - I'm very close to pulling the trigger on one today myself.

There is no catch. It's the best monitor I have ever owned and beats out other 600-800 dollar monitors that I have seen. The only "catch" I suppose is it is a bit annoying having to remake a custom resolution everytime you have to change AMD drivers, but nothing that takes more than a minute or two.

Also Samsung PLS suffer from minor backlight bleed, but it's hardly noticeable and very fixable by simply putting a piece of electrical tape on the frame (which is pressing against the screen too hard causing it).
