What are the default settings like for the 290 Windforce? I know clocks are 1040/1250, but is default vddc 0? Because Powercolor PCS+ is 1040 core also and it comes with a stock +50mV vddc adjust. How is the fan curve? What kind of temps do you get for the top card? As much as I like this Tri-X the 305mm prevents me from using the upper hdd cage so I really need to replace it with a card that's 295mm or less and I'm thinking the Giga is my best bet. Sapphire's design decisions irritate me, this Tri-X is a lot longer than it needs to be because the shroud extends way past the heatsink. They claim it directs the air but that last bit of heatsink at the end is just sitting over blank pcb, you don't need directed airflow there.

Plus, they only ramp up to 100% when gaming which is when I use my headset anyway and the Siberia V2 is quite good at covering outside noise.
It's ironic that you're used to fan noise because of your Noiseblocker fans.
Though I'm guessing for 2000rpm they are quiet. I've always wanted Noiseblocker fans, they ooze quality, but, SO EXPENSIVE. They make my Noctuas seem budget. But man, you really like to rev up those fans lol. I've got my NF P14s working at 700-900rpm and I run my cards at 1080/1350 so I can keep the fans low. I don't use headphones though.
