Yeah i was using TriXX but i'm stepping back to MSI AB as running past +100mV is not done on air.. Temps are ok, but it's not even summer and my room gets REALLY hot in the summer.

Can't wait for my ColdZero backplate to arrive btw biggrin.gif I'll make sure tot ake plenty of pics when it does smile.gif

I take it you're using Trixx since you took voltage so high, if you're going to stay under +100 vddc you might try Afterburner, increasing Aux voltage can sometimes let you squeeze out a few more clocks.

I run mine at 1150Mhz using Trixx with +75mV. How can Afterburner help with Aux voltage? What settings should I try then?

Hmm nice. It does 25mV better then mine lol. Mine needs +100mV to be artifact free in Far Cry 3 tongue.gif (Which is, imo, the heaviest test possible for a GPU OC).

smile.gif for 1175Mhz though it's artifacting with +125mV...

Max I can do with TriXX is 1180 @ +200mV arti free but my god the heat.. 90+c VRM's at 100% fanspeed..

I found out that 1150/1625 @ +100mV runs great at 65% fanspeed. Max temps in GPU-Z after a few BF4 rounds and a half an hour of FC3 where 68c core, 80c VRM1 and 51c VRM2

Oh well.. Maybe a waterblock in the future? All i'd need is a res, block and a 60mm 240 rad.. I can use my H320's pump and 360 rad as base..

Can you run your memory that high on lower VDDC than + 100mV?

Ok guys question. Whats the performance dufference between the R9 290 and R9 290X when at the same clocks

Rather close clockspeed comparison between the 2:

TBH even 100mV for 24/7 seems a bit high since the Tri-X PCB is very similar to reference, 200mV is pushing it and you're probably risking your card. My reference 290 did 1150 at +25mV, 1175 at +69mV and 1200 at +100mV.

about 3-10% depending on game, maybe lower than 10% more like 8% max.
