watch all your temps and don't let them exceed 80C.

Yeah im using Trixx, but +100mV in enough to get 1200 stable. 1200 / 1440 also works completly stable, as well as 1000 / 1525, but 1200 / 1450 is unstable and I get a black screen after a while.
Temps are absolutely fine.
And yeah im using 13.12 with Windows 7 64 bit.
My card is a Sapphire R9 290X Reference @ Accelero Hybrid.

i know the feeling but 1440 even 1400 is decent unless you are aiming for mining perfromance or benching. memory at stock is sufficient for games. luck of the draw.

you did raise the PL, right?

Yes i raised it to +50%, max.
As for 1080p, you are right, but im gaming at 2560x1440, and it seems like memory is doing a "good job" there.
The R9 290X Lightning @ 1150 / 1625 is 1 Fps slower at 1440p then my settings with 1200 / 1440.

I prefer loose 4-5 degrees on my cpu/gpu, but have quiet system. Is here anyone who got fractal design xl r2? Where do you fit that 240mm radiator?

however on sapphire's bios setting +100mv is 1.35v but when I run 3dmark11 it goes down to 1.20~

Unfortunately you're always going to see a lot of droop like that unless you use the PT3 BIOS, but I don't recommend that unless your card is under water, and even then it's a bad idea for extended use.

Somebody needs to make a BIOS with customizable LLC and downclocking for every day usage... My card droops a whole lot.

I asked that indeed in a new topic and all but no useful reply's and i'm not capable of it..

My card is acting wierd btw. This morning i played like 3 hours of BF4 straight with no issues at all at 1200/1500Mhz +150mV. Now, this afternoon it suddenly froze mid-game like it used to do with too little voltage. And now I can't seem to be able to pass a round of BF4 without it hard-locking.

But.. If it's that unstable.. How did I just play 3 hours straight this morning without a hitch... I dunno..

that's what thought should be the case, but that user is saying 1.35v with 100mw increase. Thats high and after vdroop or no vdroop
