Just wondering but why are some people using different bios from different companies? Does it overclock better and/or perform better?

can someone help me please i want to change the gpu core voltage on the pcs 290

i tried using asus gpu tweak but it doesnt show the gpu core voltage, but ive seen asus gpu tweak show core voltage in decimal form
on a sapphire trixx card and you could change it on the fly.
reason is i just want to bring the pcs 290 to a stock 290

i know the stock 290 VDDC is 0.984v , someone had told me the core voltage which im grateful for, now the pcs 290 runs around 1.031 core volt

msi afterburner lets you adjust 100mv down or up but you cant see the voltage as decimal, so im not sure how to undervolt the card accordingly.

Is Unigine Heaven Benchmark 4.0, one of those programs that see no performance gains from crossfire? Cuz my score with 2 r9 290 is 1244

I have a feeling video cards might not be sitting their slots, could that be the reason?

GPUTweak only works for Asus bioses. Use hwinfo's sensor status to monitor how many volts are going to your card (VDDC). VDDC varies on a per-card basis. One can be .984, and another could be 1.1v. It just depends.

In my case I simply wanted stupid twin frozrs to have the target temp setting in CCC so I could LOWER it.

I have done everything I can with air cooling and now I just want the cards to mine cooler even if it means slower....

The default behavior is to heat up to 94c and you have no control.

nope have it enabled, including that check box under it.

Might be something wrong with my installation though, Bios sees both cards and it running them at 8x but Windows occasionaly ignores the 2nd card.

Looks like a fresh install is in order.

EDIT: well this is interesting... looks like my VisionTek R9 290 is actually a R9 290X, or at-least it has more shaders than my XFX card.

VisionTek

My XFX card:

actaully, can someone tell me why the second card only has a Bus width of 32bits.
