Powercolor 290x PCS+
Wow! This is the highest overclocking Elpida memory I have ever seen. I know of no other 290 or 290x (with Elpida) that can hit 1600X4 on stock voltage! Running two in Crossfire. Both core's at 1150 and memory at 1600. Using Sapphire Trixx to get core Voltage to +125. thumb.gif

Best part is there is still room for OC, but i just wanted to see if they can at least do that speed biggrin.gif
had to ramp up reference fan to 93% just to be safe for a quick run.
No way I would be able to tolerate that noise 24/7 though. It's bad enough around 60%.
Lulz. I run mine at 100% fan. Between hardcore blasting in my ears and guns with headphones on, I can't hear a damn thing.

I am running two PCS+ also. I have had them less than 1 week. Temps are great. You are right my firestrike scores are just slightly higher than the PCS+ 290 card I had. The Elpida memory on the 290x is excellent I am hitting 1600 gaming and benching and 1150 on both cores using Trixx with +125mv on the core. I plan on keeping mine. Got them for $579 plus BF4. I preordered a 4K monitor so will defiantly need two 290x's

My Tri-X 290X pulled 67.4 FPS on Valley @ Extreme preset bench. Is that any good? tongue.gif Clocks at 1175/1500 +100mV.

Well, my elpida can't go above ~1450 on the first card, and ~1420 on the second...both are 1150 core stable, though. I also got mine for $579. Too bad mine are lemons. I would go 4K, but 120Hz has got me. I will never go back to 60Hz. I might get a 120Hz 1440p monitor in the future (not one of those Korean monitors because 120Hz isn't guaranteed on those), but not now. These cards will be used until 120Hz 4k comes out.

Sounds about right if your CPU is at stock.

When my i5 was at stock and my 290 was at 1200/1250, I got 66.1FPS

Well, even with the low ambients, +100mV and +50% power target puts a hammer down on VRM temps even on something like a Tri-X so I can keep my core plenty cool (barely touching 70c) but the VRM's are hammered with temps close to 80c with 18c ambients..

I might just have to RMA this card btw.. Even though it clocks great one of the fans has either a inbalance or the bearing is gone cause above 55% fanspeed it makes one hell of a rattling noise and when I stop the fan it's gone so..

Then you should be getting more FPS. I managed to eek out 72.1FPS from my 290 at 1210/1625 and my i5 at 4.4GHz. Use the tweaks on the valley thread, that helped me get 2FPS.
