Well... I'm dumb. Finally figured out how to add more voltage using afterburner... Was trying to use "w4" when it should have been "w6". This means I should be able to game at 1200 now core and stable.

You could, a few people have been having problems switching BIOS on the cards but most seem to to do it ok as long as you follow the tutorial in the 290 to 290x unlock thread.

I don't see a big gain from doing that either.

use Afterburner or Trixx to overclock your cards.

to proud asus 290x reference owners biggrin.gif : can anyone confirm if there is a warranty sticker covering any screws on the back of the pcb? I'm about to order mine and wouldn't want to void the warranty right away by installing waterblocks biggrin.gif. I've read somewhere that there is one covering a screw, but that was for the directcII edition, not the reference. thanks a bunch!

yes theirs a sticker on one of the screws...i didn't care too much so i removed it and stall my waterblock biggrin.gif

There might be something wrong with the latest flash player, it would not install properly, and I cannot download it from their web site now. Not sure what is going on.

I have Windows 7 64bit and an R9 290. I can watch YouTube, and videos from several other sites, however, probably half of them I cannot see. I too think it has something to do with the latest version of flash player, I did not have any problems with the older version. May be the new version does not like Win 7 64bit and R9 290 combination.

Did you include those pictures when you became a member of the AMD R9 290X / 290 Owners Club? These are probably too new.

Did you try contacting Chip or one of the other staff?

I dont get it I run 1060/1470 with +56mv and 50% power in trixx and I have done like 10 rounds of 3d mark firestrike extreme, no crash or artifacts, but once I play WOT, some times I get artifacts now and then. Some times I can play for hours with no issues. I dont wanna go more than 56 in vddc offset because I want to keep my temps and fan speed down. I have tried with 1050 on the core and i will see if I get any issues. I dont really know if my clock is unstable or if its the drivers/games mess things up.

It's your memory. Not core. 1060Mhz core is still +0mV territory.
