Yes, but you can get same results with another manufacturers block and Fujipoly Ultra Extreme. When I upgraded to the FUE, see my sig, it put the VRM1 temperature to the same temperature as my core. Since I have tweaked my OC reducing offset voltage to +87 for 1200/1500, VRM1 is now usually 1-2C under core temperature.
I contacted XSPC regarding their backplate, and they said to use some thermal pad on the backside of VRM1 to make contact with the backplate to assist in cooling. I have not yet tried this to see the temperature results, but plan to do so in the near future.
I told before that im not going to use FUE pads at all. I want the best result from the block as it comes from shop. So probably i will go with kryographics waterblock+ their passive backplate, i will order some phobya termal pads ( thats the best i can find in uk ), but its 7w/mk. Is it worth to put them under backplate at all?
