[Official] AMD R9 290X / 290 Owners Club - Page 2008

Guys I am seeing some strange behaviour on my R9 290, when I was on air I installed 13.12 drivers, used MSI AB Beta 18 and could run an OC of 1180/1625 on Battlefield 4 without problems.
But because AB beta expired I had to switch to Trixx, and now when I game under water on 1180/1450 my whole screen gets distorted like some kind of blurr nothing is sharp anymore. What could this be?

Now with Trixx I can't use the AUX voltage like in AB and that made my memory OC stable at the time, could it be that my memory OC is to high now without the AUX voltage?

Is there a new version out of AB which works without problems and won't expire?

Sounds like the aux voltage is what was keeping the memory stable. I know what you mean by the fuzzy screen it usually happened to me with unstable overclocks. There is a new AB out. Beta 19

You can get it here: http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/msi_afterburner_beta_download.html

p.s does anyone know how to disable GPUs in a multi card config? My spare rig is gone, so I will have to test this card in my main rig, which already has 2 water cooled cards in it.

Check if you have some kind of dip-switch on your motherboard that controlls the PCI-e lanes.
My Gigabyte Z87 OC has some dip-switches down in the right corner(see the picture below) which controls the PCI-e lanes smile.gif
The easiest way is probably just to check your MB manual to see if you have a dip-switch for the PCI-e lanes.

If you have no such thing, go into your MB BIOS and check if you have somewhere to config the PCI-e lanes. I know i can set which PCI-e lane to be enabled/disabled in my BIOS.

Hi guys this is mine, do I have an ok card? Max I can go without artifacts is 1200Mhz core clock and 1500Mhz memory clock, only power tweak is core voltage +100mV and idk why everytime I open afterburner the power limit slider is at 0, is that normal guys or does it always reset when I close it and open it again?

Edit: I forgot to tell the max temperatures when I ran the valley benchmark biggrin.gif

Can you switch me from stock Sapphire to MSI Gaming on the roster please Arizonian? I found someone who wants to trade my 780 for his MSI Gaming Edition 290.
