Wow, what a pain to do this. I will get more variable runs and i can run scaling tests if people are just curious. These are mostly in landscape as i will be making some custom stands for these monitors. Enjoy. 4k Eyefinity

Heaven Benchmark 3.0 - same as below but Ambient occlusion off. 4.0 doesn't allow you to tweak settings so i believe i am getting capped on vram possible with ambient occlusion on.(not sure yet just a guess) Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Heaven Benchmark 4.0 - 4xR9 290 Crossfire - NO AA - Medium Quality - Normal Tess Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Metro2033 - 11520x2160 benchmarks. not sure if i am getting vram capped as i haven't checked yet Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

HL2 landscape Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Crysis 2 potrait
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Sadly Jpegs and compression hurt the quality. It murdered the screenshots with artifacts but oh well still okay i guess.

That is awesome!

Nice to see these cards can handle extreme high res smile.gif

I'm only just going to 1440p now but i'll enjoy it nonetheless biggrin.gif

wait, how did you get 3*4K eyefinity? HDMI + 2 DP and all running 30Hz? that res is ridiculous regardless surprised actually they perform so well with that many pixels...

Taken from Team AU's FB page:

We tested another ASUS R9 290X Matrix on an EK water block today, this card seems even better than the previous card.
Full pass of 3DMark11 GT with 1400MHz core and 1800 MHz memory. The Elpida memory gets a bad wrap, but the cards we have tried have 1750 MHz or above.
Will test this on LN2 in the coming days, we are also planning to do some give away to celebrate hitting our 1000th like (soon we hope).

Looks like Elpida works just fine on the Matrix cards.

Are you disappointed?? Have you seen the techpowerup review, which includes OC results. The card has new hynix chips and did 1120 core 1725 mem!! Now youtube 295X2 and see how quiet it is on full load 50db.

Aside from the price tag, which was to be expected, its a great piece of engineering. Especially considering, it has no frame pacing issues at all. Granted I wish they used a thicker rad.

It's a halo product but look at how many boutique brands already announced systems with it. It will sell out, no doubt about it. The whole point of this is exclusivity.

You will be fine if the source you are buying from is reputable and honest. If you know what temps, voltages, and clock speed were run you will be able to make a secure purchase ( and with warranty included, who cares tongue.gif ).
You never see people asking if CPU/GPU been used for folding@home and now mining is mainstream and most of the time mainstream is misinformed.
Sure some people will go and tell you that because the card is under load constant that it's going to die soon. The fact is they don't know what level of degradation is caused unless they have performed tests over long periods of time with many units.

What's worse constant temperature, clock speed, and voltage or a card that goes from 30C-80C 20-50times a day, gets overclocked, overvolted, and is basically power cycled all day long.

Imho , If I was going to buy hardware, lets say a CPU, I would rather buy the cpu ran on 1.4vcore 24/7 for 6months than the LN2 cpu ran on 1.8vcore for a bunch of benchmarking runs. That's just me, sure the temps don't get high on LN2, that doesn't change the amount of power that's actually running through the chip. As for GPU, i'd rather buy a 100 day mined gpu over a 100 day +200mV/overclocked gpu for benching and gaming

Gotcha smile.gif its just the cards used on ebay are around £100 cheaper than new and i would be buying two cards to it adds up smile.gif

I have one question though it hink with two cards in my system the cards would be almost touching due to the location of the x16 slots how much clearance between them do i need to ensure they dont get too toasty?

if they are reference they will be toasty even with a good space between them. in your case, they will be toastier. reference are meant for watercooling.

if non-reference, then having fans at back end and/or the side might help. on the side door, i think it should be exhausting. not sure.

Well, that's because that is what it is.. Just like 7990, 6990, 5970, etc. etc. and just like nvidia does the exact same thing.

Is this news to you? I'm not sure what you were expecting here, lots of chrome and shinny things?
