Try 14.3 again, I uninstalled 14.4, was causing some issues on my rig including flashing black screens.

Got a response from EK regading thermal pads for their upcoming blocks.  It will be the same as reference cards with 1mm for VRMs and 0.5mm for the pads. :thumb:

how much of a difference did the Fuji pads on the backplate make? VRMs are at 60 degrees with using stock ingredients, but I plan on adding 1-2 more cards.

Hi Guys,

I am wanting to do a Quadfire Setup - I have the cards already 290x Reference I have enough Power 1200w + 650w (Add2Psu_Adapter)

All I need is the motherboard and the CPU wchich will be the 4930k or 4960k which should remove any bottlenecks.

I was thinking about the Rampage Extreme 4 But then I thought Maybe the Cards will be 2 close Because of what I am about to consider, and here it is:

I was thinking Of getting a 7 PCIE Motherboard And having the cards Seperated by 1 slot Each If you can picture it? Now On top of this separation I will remove the Standard cooler and in replace it with the GELID Icy Vision Universal VGA Cooler Rev 2 For each Card

What do you think about this guys? Aswell as All this I will have a good Case which will suck HOt air out and suck air in,

This should quite the cards down aswell as cooling them , I know its possible with the ref cards to have them sitting next to each other as they are designed to suck the air out from the outer edge and blow it out the front.. But they do get pretty loud from the sucking.

What do you think of my setup above? with the 1 x PCIE gap between each card and change the standard coolers to GELID Icy Vision Universal VGA Cooler Rev 2 ?? I do not want to Create a massive water cooled setup , I want a simple but effective setup that does not take that much space..

Just wondering but has anyone got experience with http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/p/Watercool-HEATKILLER-reg;-GPU-backplate-R9-290X_44412.html that Backplate? the Picture leads be to believe it is active ie needs a loop but i cannot find any information about it via google.

I just want it as it is quite pleasing to the eye compared to the standard black ones that everyone else does

Ok Guys, finnally got around to properly overclocking my card and I need references to see whether my OC is normal or crappy.
Ambient Temps are around 26 deg C.
Card: MSI R9 290 Gaming 4G
WHQL: 13.12
Core Clock: 1090MHz
Memory Clock: 1600MHz
VDDC Offset: +68
Power Limit: +50
Overclocking Software: Sapphire Trixx (with Force Constant Voltage and Diable ULPS checked), Overdrive disabled
Benchmark used: 3DMark
Stock Firestrike Score: 8373
OC Firestrike Score: 9139
OC Temps: Core-83, VRM1-69 wink.gif , VRM2-55
ASIC Quality: 83.9%
Memory Type: Hynix

Below is the link for GPU-Z Validation
GPU-Z Validation

For now, core temps are preventing me from adding more voltage. From the looks of it, this card would benefit from going under water (Correct me if I'm wrong though)
Also, if temperatures allow for it, there shouldn't be any harm maxing out the VDDC slider in Trixx right?

Beat me to it. Thanx @Roboyto. Was thinking of purchasing a few strips of the Ultra Extreme and 1 of the Extreme since i figured it would not affect shipping costs. Right?
