Max temps the GPU has ever reached was like 75 °c at 100% load after a couple hours of BF4 whilst botting D3 Reaper of Souls in the background. VRMs have only ever reached around 65-70 °c. System itself sits at a max of 50 °c at 4.4 GHz and reaches about 70 °c at 5.0 GHz when ambient temps allow. :3

the temps for the gpu are when you set the fan to 60% and it won't shut down?

Realized I don't actually need it connected at all because I removed the LED strip due to the adhesive being awful. Changing to 5050 LEDs from http://coldzero.eu/ soon anyway ~

And I remember my FPS being just below 40fps on Heaven doing 1080p extreme on my 7970, so this GPU is doing better on DX11. But why is my FPS so low on BF4? Mantle pushed 100+ fps on my 7970 I swear. Did they goof on something somewhere down the line? I know the framepacingmethod thing being set to 1 helps but I don't see much of a difference so I think that is purely crossfire.

Well, I can tell you this. I have an I74930K and I play BF4 a lot. I use manual V for CPU and change clocks between desktop /gaming/ youtube. My lowest clock is @3.4Ghz, that's stock clock with Turbo disabled.

For gaming I use 4.3Ghz and that will bring the load on cores @ 90% max.
Sometimes I start gaming @3.4Ghz and forget to change clock, but GPU clocks are @ 1100/1400.

My FPS on BF4 then drop from 120+ that are normal to around 70-80 FPS...rolleyes.gif
Not the case for me as my 8150 is always rolling 4.4ghz. I just feel like something changed and I have no way to test it. But again my DX11 performance seems better in heaven so it has to not be the GPU or OC. From what I hear 1100/1250 is easy to do on the +25mV that my card defaults to and doesn't even need +50% powerlimit though mine is set for it. I did see artifacts on +0mV compared to +25mV so its working that much. And performance is better with the OC.

Just wish it was better than what it seems like.

My computer shut off randomly today. Looks like my AX1200 overheated powering 3 R9 290s....... time to flip the intakes radiator fans into exhausts. Which means now I have to remove 3 radiators so I have to room to unscrew the fans...... Why couldn't Corsair put a proper fan in it. The PSU is burning, but I can barely feel fan blowing air.

It's a BitFeenix Alchemy LED strip connector which I suspect was shorting on the floor of my 900D. It also sits next to my HDD cage/power cables for fans etc. I have left the fan plugged in for the time being but will unplug it if the issue persists.

HOPEFULLY that was the problem.

Still problematic. Sigh. Taking card into work tmrw and getting RA dept to bench it. frown.gif

This is what I'm trying to get to work, it's towards the bottom of the first post of the thread. I've tried it via making a .bat file and via putting the args in a shortcut, but when I click the bat file or the modified shortcut, MSI Afterburner doesn't start, a cmd window flashes on screen, and the core voltage remains the same as before (checked using GPU-Z).

It was already explained that wi4 is only for the expired beta 17. IC addressing was changed in beta 18+, so instead of /wi4, you need to use /wi6.

Anyway, I tried searching around and I can't seem to find a definite answer, some ppl even say you have to change some things in the registry, made me a little confused. confused.gif

Not out of the box, no. It may be capable, and you may be able to tweak it to work, but the desktop drivers don't allow it as released.

Hey guys i have an r9 290 crossfire setup with the new 14.4 drivers and i have decided to stop over clocking via CCC and add voltage and see if i can get a not to hot overclock!...i think i have found the sweet spot at 1130mhz on the 2 cores and i have also managed to with a +6 off set to get the memory up to 1450mhz!....Also i have turned off/ unchecked overdrive in CCC and am now doing everything via AB!... But i notice that when i reboot powertune is set back to 0%?....and if i set it to 50% powertune on GPU1 it takes GPU2 back to 0% on powertune and visa versa?....Also if i reboot powertune has reset to back to 0% but all the other OC settings are still there?....Any help guys?

first thing is I would prolly DDU the driver. reinstall clean, never touch OC in CCC and start with AB. just to confirm whose fault that is, ccc left over setting sticking or AB doing something wrong.
