All the Non reference cards have great cooling. just get the cheapest one with good vrm cooling. It seem like gigabyte is it now.

So there were 4 sapphire r9 290x vapor-x (1080/1410) in stock at amazon which were immediately sold out in just 1 day. I hope whoever bought them would post their feedback here thumb.gif

I got the LEPA1600W thinking it might supply enough juice for my 3930k and quad 580 setup, but it would fail in the same place as my SilverStone 1500W. The plugs and sockets look kinda el cheapo too. So I feel it no better than the Silverstone, just higher priced.

Soo? Which powersupply should I use for the quad R9 290s then? I will probably try my EVGA 1300W G2 (based on the Xtreme PSU calculator 1300W should be enough for 3930K, 2x SSD, 3x HDD, 3x Pumps, 13 fans and four R9 290s ... which was supposed to use around 1265 watts, it is almost 1300 watts but I guess it will last a few months until I buy a new PSU that are a bit quieter and have som more wattage. What about Enermax Platimax?

Reason I don't want to do dual PSUs is mostly because I am going with custom watercooling, and the 900D doesn't support the hardware I need (watercooling and components) with 2x PSUs.

Anybody around right now have a RIVE BE? I just got a new board from rma and did a fresh windows install. Now my cards acting buggy again, it wasn't on the Asrock x79 Extreme6 i was using during rma.

I'm getting the screen freeze with audio skip/loop and alot of screen-tearing. I haven't had any black screens while i was around, it seems like one happeneed while i was sleeping tho. I think it could be the Realtek audio drivers for the board. I like the ROG Realtek GUI, but obviously my 290x's working is more important to me.

The card was working great on the other board. Anybody able to use the RIVE BE Realtek with 14.4?

I would actually like to own a Rosewill Hercules (I don't know about the stability though), but that PSU is not available in my country.

The Corsair AX1500i seems like a good PSU, but I have my own thoughts of Corsairs quality after receiving the Corsair 900D (which in NO WAY can be compared to Cooler Master cases when it comes to paint quality, build quality and price). Anyway the price tag which was listed at Guru3D at 450USD will be something like 570USD here (or more, probably more), which is kind of silly.

I guess that leaves me with the option of getting a secend PSU.

Of course, it's a very tempting card even for Tri-X owners like me biggrin.gif
- 3 fans of which 2 only run above 65C
- backplate
- adapted PCB, choke's and capacitators...

But, is it wise to buy a card that lasts 5 years I wonder rolleyes.gif
