Is there no way to get over 1.4 V without pt1 or pt3 bios?

Do these voltages even help? My cards stop improving after +125 mV. +200 mV gets me like 20-25MHz extra.

Now, what software setup should I be running for optimal performance? Eventually I'll be overclocking them, but for now I'm just looking to get things going at stock levels.

That changed as of late you don't need an active adapter as long as all 3 monitors are the same if you mixed resolutions then you will need active adapter. At least that is what I have read I dont use eyefinity it makes me sick but maybe try using both the dvis and and the third on if you cant and need to go from dp to dvi might as well just get active there cheap now I got one for 15 bucks on ebay.

All monitors can only be hooked to the top card not just for eyefinity that's period. Ports on other cards wont work sadly as I wanted to add a 5th screen and cant without a DP splitter.

Thanks for the response cyberlocc. I don't think I can do it, as I can see the third monitor there, until I start to create an eyefinity profile. I need that adapter. I also was told that you NEED an active unit, specifically:

The adaptor I would recommend is the Accell B087B-007B like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Accell-B087B-007B-DisplayPort-Dual-Link-Adapter/dp/B00856WJH8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1413849315&sr=8-1&keywords=Accell+B087B-007B

Don't get the 002B version, it doesn't work with these monitors.

Card doesn't like high voltage, I get flashing blackscreen, sometimes video can recover by ctrl alt del and task manager will pop-up and let me close benchmark. That was using 150mv vddc

I have card stable at 1200\1600, 125 vddc offset and 50 power limit. Using triXX. Temps are in check, I didn't even bother to install gpu-z, but core, vrm1 and vrm2 never go above 50c on furmark burn in test. Ran valley, 50c gpu, 1.352 vddc, 366W vddc power in, vrm1 48 and vrm2 38

Is there a problem with my card?
Seems like I should be able to pump 200mv no problem?

I have the same flashing black screen if I push voltages and power limit too high .. Can't get to +200mv even with pt1 ..

Have just learned to accept it .. Some cards seem a bit fussy with power delivery IMO

Edit I can't even get mine to 1200 core - max stable around 1135 and can't touch memory speeds

Anyone know of a BIOS editor for the R9 290(X)? Would love to play around with the voltages and frequencies on the BIOS side of things.

Have you tried checking out how consistent your PSU power delivery is?

you might try OCCT and generating charts to see if you are having wild swings while under stressed conditions

http://www.ocbase.com/index.php/download

It will generate charts on just about everythinghing on you voltages and voltage rails. look for oddities and or unusual amounts of Vdroop

These are OCCT voltage charts from a review I did a while back.
