EK has some interesting names that can confuse. Such as terminal. So its easier to use terminology that is more common (unless its causing confusion). I hate how Koolance calls their blocks "cold plates". Stupid marketing gimicky names but its still, for practicalities sake, a plate blocking some holes and a waterblock wink.gif.

Also, I provide links to the exact product most of the time so it does the fine specifications as opposed to me typing the info (and free marketing products tongue.gif).

Shrugs. Blanks are blanks. I don't think it's marketing, because they, ek in this case have to differentiate the bridge systems or ppl will be buying parts they think will fit, only to be irate later when it won't go together. Anyways as far as blanks go there are specific ones too. Like, you can't use a parallel blank in a "terminal" series bridge for obvious reasons. And the terminal system is the newer bridge system that's only compatible with current gen and newer cards, ie. csq and csq clean. And technically, Koolance is right, blocks are coldplates. Though coldplate is hardly used anymore.

Anyone know if a pr of universal blocks would work on a D13 290x dual core?

I'm still getting used to this watercooled video card thing ...

Spent the past half hour freaking out wondering why Afterburner doesn't have fan speed or tachnometer after disabling ULPS

Since its a custom card, I would hit up an owner to get some measurements on the screw holes for the cores. I would also ask the distance from the core (or screw holes) to the edge of the pcb. Most uniblocks are a tad short and may require extensions. Don't want to end up w/ an extension or fitting clearance issue. Curious why you didn't go w/ the reference 295x2? tons of blocks for this monster and the stock cooler is pretty good on its own ("hybrid" cls w/ fan).

Lol, I had this issue the first time i watercooled (4870x2 + 4870). The old versions would bug you there's an issue but MSI did update it later on just "gray" it out (tach/sensor).

Yea, in general terms hynix tends to clock higher.

Took my first swing at OC'ing these 290Xs yesterday

+100mv (1.3V) and 1165/1500 worked perfectly during a couple hours of BF4, CQ Large on outdoor maps

Temps:

Along those lines, do you guys get three sections in HWinfo for each GPU? I posted this in the HWinfo official thread and the developer asked:
Quote:
The 1st section per each card is general GPU information, the other two are concerning the VRMs - 2nd is most probably the GPU Core VRM, but I'm not sure what the 3rd is. Usually the 3rd is GPU Memory VRM, but in your case 1.001V is too low for a GPU Memory voltage. Any idea what might be running at such voltage on your GPU?

Is this normal? Am I undervolting my vRAM? I didn't observe any artifacts etc. The only monitoring software I'm using is AB

They're on water (Aquacomputer blocks). See sig rig smile.gif

Are the voltage readings in the third section normal?

Also what's up with the voltage on the 2nd card? It was +0.032 over card1 at stock voltage, too. Both have same BIOS
