That fan speed sounds a bit low. But that's about 5c max I would guess. That would get you to 63c though, so maybe that would be enough.

How does she perform? Core/VRM cooling under load?

Really well, 60 fps Ultra on Witcher 3 with no Hairworks and the temps cap out at 75 with 60% fan speed, barely even audible. VRMs not so sure about but they seem to stay <80 most if not all the time. Mine overclocks upto 1110 with only a 10% power increase but I can't seem to be able to change voltage, I think it may be locked.

I don't think any card is locked. Are you using msi afterburner? if so have you checked the 'unlock voltage control' box under the settings tab?

Of all the 290s, Gigabyte's is possibly the only one that's locked actually, AFAIK.

either that or Corsair H80i

I'm not sure. The HG10 works with any Corsair AIO. You'd have to check the height of the mounting bracket since Zalman used their own mounting bracket design. However, since it "looks" like the same Asetek head design as the H55, it *might* work. Again, it depends on the bracket/X-plate and length of the screws.

Yeah, you want to make sure the pump gets 12v constant (runs at full speed). The rad fan can run as low as you want at idle and have it ramp up using fan control software. I have mine ramp up to about 1500rpm max. The blower fan on the card itself, you can set to constant 30% in MSI AB - this will keep it silent and yet still easily cool the VRMs. wink.gif
