This is the subject. If you can test it with yours.

DD/D1 vs 77/71. Same strap, just the first 2 hex values changed.
The timings i use starts with 77 71 and I've noticed that in the sapphire tri-x bios, the later straps starts with 99 91. Is DD/D1 a elpida thing?

I believe so. BBBG_DEBUG.

In my limited tests, you can replace it with anything keeping the semantics.

DD scored better but limits the core. 77 clocks high but meh. Though, I noticed artifacts are non-existent on 77/71.

That may be the reason why some chips clock better but score less.

Hmm interesting, this makes me want to test more timing related stuff. Yeah maybe that's why 290's varies so much in score and clockspeed.

Comparison between DD/D1 and 77/71, almost 150 points, not bad. Will test higher memory clock too.

A bit more testing and results at higher memory clock.

You confirmed it buddy!.

+1

Are you testing it on your best profile?

Can you do the same to the lower straps as well? Sat, down to 1250? And push the card where it previously was. So we can get an idea how it affects OC and Stability.

hmmm. Might try FF as well. biggrin.gif

Never thought that a single r9 290 will hit 14-15k in fire strike
I think AMD need to change some of their bios, and driver devision staff.

I have edited all straps with DD/D1, I will also test my max clock and see how that goes.

His' is an exceptional card. I couldn't stress it out more. biggrin.gif

But yeah, I almost made it there using the modified 300X bios. Maybe you should try it as well.

Thanks mate. I'm rooting for you breaking your own record.

Let us know.

Nvidia hit hard from the start not like amd from what i see the AMD cards get better after time and bios fixes by user and prove to be better cards over time unlike Nvidia they sort everything before they release the new cards.
