I assume this won't be at max settings? Since in games like DA:I i couldn't even hold a steady 60fps with tweaked settings at 1920x1200

The most notable game I have issues with currently, although it is still in development, is Armored Warfare. It runs off Cryengine and depending on the map I'm playing I struggle to maintain 60fps with a few things turned down. Then there's Elite:Dangerous, I get fine FPS playing, but it makes my loop heat up to nearly 60c which I'd rather not have my CPU that hot. Gunna have to get a pair of gentle typhoons for the one rad soon and hope that helps that situation.

I did just price out going for an eyefinity setup of the current 1080 monitor I have which is cheaper than the 1440 monitor I'm looking at. So now I'm torn between eyefinity or a single 1440...

Never had the need to oc the 5820. it was faster than my i7 Sandy Oc'ed 4.5GHz, which never ever bottleneck my 2 290s.

just checkout the physics scores. if i have 2 980Tis or Fury Xs, then i would have kept the 5820.

Not sure how much your budget is and what Hz the 1440 you are planning on getting but you can snag a 4K for about the same amount maybe. checkout the post of Rob . . .

it only takes 2 secs to go down to 1440. Not 1080 'cause it looks funny.
