Yeah, which is my point. AMD really hit it out of the park with the Hawaii series. The 290x cards are still quite awesome and hold their own against the 980ti on DX12 which is going to be the new standard on games. Its hard not to like a brand that treats its customers like this. (meaning good)
And hard not to take a small offense at what Nvidia has been up to lately.
I just sold my 970 as a result of how Nvidia has been treating us... ie, (me). 970 RAM was a bad enough deal, but I'm just done with them ruining their old cards by bringing new cards out that are only marginally better and offering no real driver support (for past generation cards) that lasts more than about 6-8 months. Its a joke and a never ending upgrade cycle that is just plain annoying to me.
I get you need to make money, but I sincerely hope AMD can do a repeat on the 290x.
