If they have no issues with temps, paste is fresh, do a DDU, and reinstall your driver.

I have 2 cards that does that when I add +300ish mV. And one that doesn't blink til around +381mV. I put that in as the primary and didn't have to worry about Black Screens.

Its hard to tell from my picture above but VRMs dont go past 48 degrees. I just did the past about 3 months ago. I did revert back to the previous amd driver as I did seem to have less issues with that driver. I also ran DDU in Safe mode aswell before reinstalling. What program do you use add 300mv? I would like to be able to go to 1.3v to bench, maybe even 1.4v. I am also willing to do custom bios as these cards are now out of warrenty.

Not sure if AB is causing any issues. I do remember there was a 1.3v soft mod you can do on afterburner but not sure it works on AMD cards as I use to do it on my GTX 770's...

So, you are using AB to oc? If so, did you acceptAMD Overdrive in Crimson? If you did, then that might be the issue. Ever since Crimson, I notice that when i use 3rd party app, Overdrive follows the oc settings but not all settings. Windows maybe following Overdrive. Not sure.

I accidentally accepted Overdrive on my 2 290s.

Sapphire Trixxx allows +200
Grab HIS iTurbo for +400 here:

Be careful.

If you can't get past a certain Voltage level, means the rom is Voltage Locked. We can unlock that for you. Head up Hawaii BIOS Editting thread.

You have 50% Power Limit more to push when overclocking, you should know.

+200mV and you'll probably blackscreen regardless of die lottery.

The power limit also has no effect on the card's TDP, it only sets a peak below it (+50% is just at the card's ~375W limit).

1.5-1.6V...? I would assume VRM modded cards with sub-zero cooling...

Not true. There are cards that can hold their signal up to +300. My 290 ref does. My newer 290X ref from VTX3D too. Up to +350

TDP limit doesn't seem to actually work for these cards. Esp ref ones.

Water.

Another notable spec -- ASIC quality.

The higher the chip's ASIC, means, it is more power hungry. Even with lower VIDs.

Except at 1.6V the die will melt off the card unless you keep it below -150C, assuming the caps and VRMs don't rupture first. I can only assume your stock voltage is a lot lower than mine and +350 for yours actually results in 1.4V...

+100 puts mine a little above 1.3V and 300W with 1100/1600, any higher in voltage will result in blackscreens from hitting the 375W limit.

I only use Trixx to oc both my 290s. +200 does not give them any blacckscreen at all. Higher clocks, though, do.

One can do 1300 benching no problem It blackscreens at 1330. The other can do 1300 at with same voltage of +200. Never tried higher. Together they can do 1290. They are watered and ambient were really low when i was benching.

At +200, i saw it hit 1.41v in GPUZ.
