I had a Samsung S23A950D that pixels started dying 2 weeks after I purchased it..
Got a refund as they were discontinued the same week.
But, this winter I'm upgrading my PC to a FX8320 and HD7950 and I really want another 3D monitor.

It seems all the Active 3D monitors are using 3D vision 2 though which my understanding is it's not compatible with HD3D.

I do want another Active 3D though as the picture quality and 3D were both outstanding on the Samsung I had..

So I'm looking for suggestions on the "best" 3D monitor

Looking for a 23" with active 3D and compatible with HD3D *I think 27" is to large for my setup
Don't care if the glasses are IR or RF, but would prefer RF.
and a gloss screen would be a plus.
Price... I'd like to stay under $500 But I'll probably be waiting until the holiday sales popup to buy one cheaper.
Mfg. No preference really, the samsung display was beautiful, but it died...
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
When I had the Samsung, using HD3D I could get the 3D images on the screen via DVI but the monitor did not support it I guess?
I've read that ATI cards only use HD3D over HDMI or Display Port but I honestly have no idea if it works over DVI like for Nvidia.
